On behalf of our client, an international company employing over 500 people in the US subsidiary, manufacturing cosmetics for major beauty labels, we are looking for a Director of Quality.

Our client is a leading multinational in contract manufacturing cosmetics, employing over 500 people in its US subsidiary. With 15 commercial offices and 15 production facilities across 12 countries, they are the largest supplier in the cosmetic industry and a key player in R&D and production of beauty products globally.
Responsibilities
The Director of Quality Control and Quality Assurance will oversee Quality Management and Assurance activities for the Commercial Unit, maintaining and improving the Quality System. This role requires a hands-on and strategic individual who can address quality issues promptly, whether in the office, lab, or on the floor.
Essential Functions:
- Lead Quality functions for the Commercial Unit.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and FDA regulations.
- Set clear goals and expectations for Quality staff.
- Manage staffing, salaries, personnel reviews, development, and succession planning.
- Develop long-term Quality strategies and goals.
- Act as the Quality representative for client interactions.
- Handle client complaints, non-compliance investigations, and corrective actions.
- Support product marketing by reviewing and approving specifications.
- Ensure the Quality System is audit-ready through internal audits.
- Manage audits from authorities, customers, and certification organizations.
- Oversee Commercial Unit Quality System documentation.
- Ensure in-process quality control meets all requirements.
- Plan, track, and manage the Quality budget.
- Report on Quality metrics for internal and client communication, including audits, customer complaints, internal non-conformance, and staff performance.
- Manage client quality requirements and expectations.
- Oversee all testing requirements, including validations and reporting (COA).
- Manage supplier and contract manufacturing approval programs.
- Assume responsibilities as Quality and Safety Responsible person per CSAR regulations.
Department/Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Group CQO and Local CEO.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification: BS degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar).
- Required Knowledge:Experience in Quality or Product Development (preferably in the Cosmetics Industry). Knowledge of Quality Systems, including GMP and GLP in FDA-regulated industries.
- Experience Required:5-8 years of management experience, including budgeting and staff management.
