GA Medicare 101 is a part of the Medicare 101 Organization, which helps educate seniors on the complex topic of Medicare in over 39 states. We offer educational workshops in libraries, government centers, community centers, and virtually. Our goal is to provide an easy-to-understand, efficient, and comprehensive educational tool to guide seniors through the complexities of Medicare planning. Our workshops have been designed with seniors in mind. We have educated thousands of attendees on the numerous plans and options available to them, providing clarity and insight into the world of Medicare. Our aim is to make learning about Medicare an easy and enjoyable process.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Director of Operations to join our [Insurance/Financial Brokerage Company Name] team. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our organization. The Director of Operations will oversee critical functions such as commission management, client onboarding, payroll administration, and other operational responsibilities. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Commission Management
- Oversee and manage the accurate calculation, tracking, and disbursement of commissions to agents and brokers.
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking commission structures and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with accounting and sales teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.
Client Onboarding
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
- Oversee the implementation of contracts, policies, and procedures for new clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Payroll Administration
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness for all employees.
- Maintain and update employee records, including benefits, taxes, and compensation changes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and tax regulations.
Operational Management
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Manage and oversee internal systems, software, and tools used in daily operations.
- Provide ongoing support to team members to address operational challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and support administrative staff to ensure smooth execution of daily operations.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and operational initiatives.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting teamwork and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in operational leadership, preferably within the insurance or financial brokerage industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, commission structures, and client onboarding processes.
- Proficiency in business software such as CRM platforms, payroll tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
