On behalf of one of our international clients, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier of light-weight plastic solutions, YER USA is searching for an experienced Director Human Resources Americas.

Job description

As Director HR Americas, reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources at the European HQ, you will be given the opportunity to develop, implement and steer HR-systems, -processes, and -products for all people related topics in the region Americas consisting of a team of ten (Plant) HR Managers in the Americas. Your excellent interpersonal and conflict-solving skills along with your knowledge of national and state labor law will be an immense asset for your success.

Main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing the competences of the HR team further to serve the business as reliable HR business partner
  • Disciplinary and/or functional management of employees
  • Responsible for budget planning and tracking in the assigned area
  • Responsible for target deployment according to EK Score Card in the assigned area
  • Developing, implementing, and steering HR-systems, -processes and –products for all people related topics in the region Americas
  • Implementing and monitoring Group HR strategies and processes
  • Developing and implementing regional HR strategies and processes
  • Advising and assisting the assigned BU and CU Managers worldwide with any HR matters
  • Initiating and driving organizational change programs
  • Responsible for recruiting and candidate selection worldwide – in particular (senior) management and key positions
  • Managing, tracking, and improving HR KPIs
  • Retaining and developing organization and employees
  • Initiating and driving organizational change programs
  • Developing the competences of the HR team further to serve the business as reliable HR business partner
  • Acting as the point of contact for the HR Managers and General Managers at the assigned plants
  • Leading or taking part in teams working on global projects with CU Human Resources

 

Candidate profile

  • Completed Master degree
  • At least 10 years of experience in Human Resource position within a fast-paced, international manufacturing environment
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a management role
  • Experience in leading operational HR tasks including recruiting & employee relation, compensation & benefit, training & development, etc.
  • Experience in change management projects and agile working methods
  • Familiar with national and state labor law
  • Experience in the automotive supply industry is preferred
  • Workday and ADP experience is preferred
