Business Development Manager – Remote

On behalf of our client, one of top European leaders in metal structures for drywall and suspended ceilings, we are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to cover the following territory: MA, NH, CT, RI, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, Washington DC, WV, VA, OH, GA, NC.

Our client is a well-reputed Italian-based company with a US physical presence in the Houston TX area. For over 60 years, our client has been remarkably growing and expanding its market presence in around 50 countries. Moreover, besides the US, the group has branches in UK, Scandinavia, Mexico, and Brazil. Besides being one of the top European companies in the industry, our client is a true innovator in terms of technology, automation process, and patents. Moreover, the company has a strong environmental orientation with their products made from 90% recycled material. One of the company’s goal is to ensure that both aesthetic function and technical performance exceed the market expectations.


This managerial position, with no direct reports, is a crucial role within the branch for sustaining the growth in the US. The ideal candidate comes from the same industry and can rapidly bring new business to the company, he/she is naturally inclined to get develop the business and build long-time relationships with them. Your exceptional sales attitude along with people-person skills will allow you to be the customer’s advocate within the company for continuing the successful sales in the assigned region. You a professional who is very self-organized and able to work independently, reaching or exceeding your sales goals.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To create and strengthen commercial relationships with the distribution channel as well as big contractors.
  • To develop commercial relationships with developers and construction companies of corporate buildings as well as commercial projects.
  • Participation to trade shows.
  • Providing technical training to distributors, showcasing products.
  • Introduction of new products and customers’ training on product features.



  • Degree in Business Administration or closely related degree is a huge plus, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the client’s industry (ceiling grids), with a track record of success in building customers’ relationships and growing a territory.
  • Experience in dealing with regional distributors as well as local dealers and developers/general contractors.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of applications including word processing, spreadsheets, & presentation software.
  • Ability to use CRM and submit periodic reports on results’ achievement.
  • Proactivity as well as humility and work ethics are excellent soft skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time and to Italy for the initial training and yearly meetings.
  • Strong self-organizing skills.
  • Ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
