The role:
- The Business Development Manager is responsible for new business growth for food and logisitic end-users and providing day-to-day support of business development initiatives to increase sales and growth of the assigned business portfolio. This position will serve as the primary technical expert in label conversion and end-use applications with end-users as well as coordinating and providing market data to the Portfolio and Product owners. The role’s focus is regional execution with global alignment.
- Provide exceptional customer experience for business partners and prospects to develop long-term business opportunities.
- Close collaboration with Business Directors, Product Managers, Regional Sales Team and Packaging Solutions Managers
- Researching trends and creating pull-through opportunities with end-users
- Establish and develop effective relationships with relevant end-use organizations to build partnerships leading to future growth opportunities.
- Participate in trade associations and technical conferences related to target market opportunities. Monitor and report on industry trends, build influence through establishing relationships in assigned area of value chain
- Serve key function of maintaining productive end-user relationships by working closely to assure products are specified and used appropriately.
- Provide technical advice regarding application requirements, printing and converting advice, and label application.
Qualifications:
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to BS in a relevant discipline, including engineering, packaging with food and/or logistics end-user exposure etc., and minimum 5 years’ experience in end-user sales or business development.
- Press knowledge, printer OEM’s, contract packagers, flexible packaging and bottle manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven project management skills are required.
