Job Summary:
As an Automation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the company’s equipment. You will ensure that all machinery is properly configured and interfaced with other plant control systems. This position is based at the Alabama plant in Evergreen.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Troubleshoot, set up, and modify plant automation equipment and machinery, including PLCs (Siemens and Allen Bradley), motion control systems, motor drives, pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fans, control valves, and laser alignment equipment.
- Interpret and work with technical drawings, wiring diagrams, user manuals, and pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
- Collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot production lines.
- Communicate with external engineering staff to define programming standards and requirements.
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Field Service Technician or Maintenance or Automation Technician or as a PLC System Integrator.
- Associate degree or technical degree or vocational training certificates in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering, or equivalent on the job experience a must.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Familiarity with manufacturing plant environments and safety protocols.
- No traveling is expected in this role. Working days are Mo-Fri, 8 hours per day shift. Occasionally, weekends.
