About this Position

To continue Dan-Bunkering ambitious growth strategy, Dan-Bunkering is hiring an aspiring Team Lead for Dan-Bunkering’s office in Great Neck, New York and for its office in Houston, Texas. As an aspiring Team Leader, you have proven experience in providing fuel solutions for bulk, tank, multi-purpose and container customers and you are ready for your next career step. You don’t need all the experience right away, as you’ll be mentored and trained by experienced leaders in addition to receiving structured training and gradual responsibilities to help you grow into an effective leader.  The selected candidates we are looking for, will thrive off working closely together with a team of skilled and experienced Fuel Suppliers, encompassing a team servicing bulk, tank, multi-purpose and container customers and another team servicing offshore customers. The bulk, tank, multipurpose and container customers teams in Houston, TX and Great Neck, NY, operate as one unit. Both roles report directly to the Commercial Director in New York. 10-20% travel domestic and internationally is expected.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

You understand the importance of stakeholder management in creating value for customers and Dan-Bunkering. With a goal-focused approach, you are focused on delivering the best possible solutions for customers, always adapting your approach to offer the most effective value proposition and service.

You are a sales-oriented team leader who is skilled in understanding and meeting clients’ expectations, thriving in building and maintaining solid relationships across all facets of the business.

As a Team Leader, you are deeply vested in all commercial trading topics to properly coach and mentor the Fuel Suppliers on a day-to-day basis and have development plans for each team member.

Your Profile
Your Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, international trade, maritime or similar field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a Bunker Trader, working with buyers of marine fuel
  • Experience from the oil and gas industry (preferred).
  • Proficient in utilizing MS Office and CRM software.
