Area Sales Manager

About the company:

Zuidberg North America Inc is part of the Zuidberg Group, headquartered in the Netherlands. The Zuidberg Group is a family owned business focusing on the development, production and sales of innovative technical products like front 3pt hitches/PTO’s and transmissions. The products are sold through the After-market distribution channel or directly to OEM’s. Customers are mainly within the agricultural industry.

Zuidberg North America Inc is a new company focusing on the sales and service of these products to customers in the USA and Canada.

Main tasks:
-Develop and execute a sales plan
-Visit customers and prospects in the assigned area on a regular basis
-Supporting customers during the ordering process in a consultative way
-Handle and manage questions and warranty issues, supported by the After-Sales/Service Representative
-Have proper information flow to the company’s management in regards to customers and orders
-Prepare and execute promotional campaigns, such as trade shows and the like

Additional tasks:

-Reporting directly to the President of Zuidberg North America
-Taking, processing and checking orders for whole goods and spare parts
-Follow market developments and inform the management of the company
-Participate in generating ideas
-Reporting on commercial trends

Position within the organization:

Reports to the President of the company

Requirements for this position:

-Bachelor’s degree in a technical/commercial direction, or comparable working experience
-Be able to act and think in a technical/commercial environment
-Strong interpersonal skills

-Experienced in or have a good feel for technical products within the agricultural sector
-A good network at agricultural tractor and/or implement dealers is a plus
-Must be willing and able to travel domestically to customers and trade shows (up to 50% of the time)
-Must be able to work successfully on an independent basis
-Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workload

A training course at the company HQ in The Netherlands is part of the introduction program.
