About the position
As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and elevating the Corporate Accounting function. You will play a pivotal role in crafting quality-driven processes and robust internal controls that will support the continued growth of the US organization. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of accounting experience, robust knowledge of US GAAP and federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations, as well as strong stakeholder management skills and focus on collaboration. This role is based out of the US HQ in Houston, TX and reports directly to the CFO. Your responsibilities include:

  • Spearhead the consolidation efforts of US legal entities, orchestrating seamless financial integration
  • Manage daily financial accounting operations, ensuring precision and adherence to best practices
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the Accounts Payable team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Drive balance sheet reconsolidation and cash management
  • Develop and uphold accounting policies, procedures, and financial controls, ensuring compliance with country-specific legislation
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards, controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance in tax matters, overseeing tax returns and general administration
  • Develop and reinforce internal controls, safeguarding company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Prepare and execute yearly audits
  • Supervise monthly intercompany reconsolidation


What we expect from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field
  • 5 years of proven accounting experience
  • Professional accounting certification – CPA with public audit experience
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, and federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
  • Knowledge of IFRS is a big plus
  • Proficient in ERP systems, D365 is a plus
  • Robust stakeholder management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to navigate in an international organization
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on coaching, collaboration, and productivity
  • High integrity, accuracy, and efficiency in financial tasks, resulting in the best possible performance
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Analytical and systematic with an affinity for problem-solving, negotiating, and time management

Compensation: 140K base range
