Our client is a stable, international manufacturing company in the industrial equipment sector with U.S. operations and European headquarters. This is a succession-focused opportunity designed to develop into a full Accounting & Finance Manager role within approximately two years.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on accounting and finance role with clear leadership development potential. The Accounting & Finance Assistant Manager will work closely with the current manager and gradually assume full responsibility for the function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Daily accounting operations: general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close
- Cash management, disbursements, and foreign currency transactions
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Supporting annual audits and working directly with external auditors
- Coordination with external tax firms and corporate finance teams
- Budgeting and financial planning support
- ERP work, including an upcoming transition to SAP
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 8+ years of accounting experience, including manufacturing
- Strong GAAP knowledge and hands-on accounting skills
- ERP experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable owning the full accounting process
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
