Accounting and Finance Manager

On behalf of our client, a leader in process equipment, we are looking for a hands-on and strategic individual to become the Accounting and Finance Manager.

With decades of expertise, the company delivers both standard and custom systems, along with specialized equipment supporting critical production and sterile processing needs.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role with no direct reports, the ideal candidate will demonstrate independent judgment, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively. Advanced Excel skills and a commitment to uncovering root causes of issues are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Lead monthly project reporting (percentage of completion) and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Prepare and analyze management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs), including variance analysis.
- Collaborate with project and operational leaders to explain results and identify risks and opportunities.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and rolling projections for revenue, margins, and cash flow.
- Maintain strong internal controls and continuously improve financial processes.
- Support commercial contract reviews, pricing models, and business development analysis.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and leadership team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s a plus); CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role within a project-based manufacturing, engineering, or construction environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Europe.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $110,000–$120,000 (DOE) plus annual bonus (target 10–15%)
