Position Overview:
As m|events expands into the US market, we seek an enthusiastic Account Manager with a robust background in event software and experience managing scientific congresses. Candidates from both the software and production realms are welcome. The right candidate should be passionate and knowledgeable about the industry and eager to excel in sales. Key Responsibilities:
- Driving new customer acquisition from initial engagement through contract finalization, with a focus on AMCs, event agencies, and scientific organizations
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts
- Conduct regular check-ins to nurture client relationships and identify upselling opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client events, maximizing satisfaction and delivering exceptional service.
- Travel extensively throughout the US for client meetings, congresses, and events to strengthen relationships and effectively showcase the company’s solutions.
Qualifications:
- A college degree is beneficial but not mandatory with the right experience.
- In-depth technical knowledge of event software and scientific congress management or expertise in onsite production, hardware, and audiovisual solutions – either background is highly desirable.
- Relevant sales experience within the industry, particularly with online & onsite event software solutions, is highly advantageous.
- Candidates with a project management background are encouraged to apply as well, given a strong sales affinity and a motivation to transition into sales.
- Experience with CRM systems; proficiency in HubSpot is a bonus.
- A well-established network within the scientific congress industry is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel extensively, primarily domestically, with potential international travel.
