Account Executive

We are currently recruiting an Account Executive for our client KNAPP Inc. in Atlanta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an assertive sales person with a proven track record in selling complex automated material handling systems.

Job Description:
In the role of Account Executive you will become part of the leading global player for material handling systems catering to the pharma solutions market. You will utilize your experience in selling multi-million-dollar material handling systems and solutions to expand Knapp’s incremental revenue and achieve profitable volume growth for their pharmaceutical wholesale division. You are responsible to spawn new bid and contract opportunities and to build sustainable customer relationships. Your consultative approach to sales combined with excellent presentation and communication skills will help you succeed in selling Knapp’s solutions to new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Knapp solutions to new and existing customers in their assigned markets
  • Research assigned markets to identify potential customers and leads
  • Give capability presentations to potential customers
  • Build relationships within assigned markets and be the first to know of projects in those markets
  • Make regular sales calls with existing Knapp customers in assigned markets
  • Create and present opportunity briefs in order to obtain internal approvals
  • Serve as Sales Project Lead (SPL) on approved opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with assigned Knapp personnel and vendors to create solutions that meet customer’s needs and budget
  • Produce detailed proposals describing Knapp’s solution
  • Produce cost estimates for management approval
  • Create effective, accurate and technically correct customer presentations
  • Coordinate and lead “kick-off” meetings to transfer sold projects to the project implementation team
  • Follow the most current version of the “KUS Sales Process”

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • 4+ years of sales experience, ideally large capital equipment of multi-million dollar automation projects
  • Technical background in material handling, logistics, supply chain or order fulfillment preferred
  • Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office suite and CRM technology
  • Entrepreneurial spirit who feels comfortable in a highly multicultural environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and give formal presentations at senior executive level
  • Frequent domestic and international travel required
