Account Executive – Food Solutions

We are currently recruiting an Account Executive – Food Solutions for our client KNAPP in Atlanta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an assertive salesperson with a proven track record, with experience with complex automated material handling systems. The candidate ideally has a background in e-commerce, robotic store replenishment, and/or food retail/grocery fulfillment methodologies.

Job Description:

In the role of the Account Executive – Food Solutions, you will become part of a leading global player in fully automated material handling systems with a specific focus on the grocery/retail market. You will utilize your experience to expand KNAPP’s incremental revenue and achieve profitable volume growth for their growing food retail division. You will be responsible for new business development and lead sales efforts for new project bids, contract development, and to build sustainable partnerships. Your consultative approach to sales combined with excellent presentation and communication skills will help you succeed in selling KNAPP’s solutions to new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Sell KNAPP food solutions to new and existing customers
  • Research the markets to identify potential customers and project opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with assigned KNAPP personnel and vendors to create solutions that meet customer’s
  • needs and budget
  • Give capability presentations to potential customers, as well as lead technical project presentations
  • Build strong relationships within the food retail market
  • Make regular sales calls with existing KNAPP customers in the market
  • Generate opportunity briefs in order to obtain internal management approvals
  • Serve as Sales Project Lead (SPL) on approved opportunities
  • Produce detailed proposals describing KNAPP’s solution
  • Produce cost estimates for management approval
  • Coordinate and lead “kick-off/handover” meetings to transfer sold projects to the project implementation team
  • Follow end to end sales process

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • 4+ years of sales experience, ideally large capital equipment of multi-million dollar automation projects
  • Technical background in material handling, logistics, supply chain, and/or order fulfillment preferred
  • Experience in e-commerce, robotic store replenishment, and/or food retail/groceries preferred
  • Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office suite and CRM technology
  • Entrepreneurial spirit who feels comfortable in a highly multicultural environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and give formal presentations at senior executive level
  • Frequent domestic and international travel required
  • Able to work out of Atlanta, GA or willing to relocate
