A & D Sales Representative

Located in the Chicago area, our client remains the only importer of the authentic quartzite, granite and cristallo iceberg from Brazil, Borghini, Macchia Vecchia e Vagli Calacatta from Italy, Thassos from Greece and other prestigious slabs. Servicing commercial and residential clients, new builds or upgrades, the company provides a very personalized service for the best results.

 

The role and the candidate:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a passionate and energetic A&D Sales Representative in Chicagoland. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit, is proactive and a self-starter, eager to join a growing organization that offers realistic professional growth. He/she has already at least 2-3 years of experience in the industry, ideally an existing book of business of designers, fabricator or with a surface and flooring company or distributor selling to both the commercial and residential A&D community in Chicago.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop new sales opportunities in the A&D community in the Chicagoland area by proactively contacting and promoting the company’s products.
  • Engage with design firms, constructions companies and provide training sessions, develop relationships with the aim to identify projects and provide specifications.
  • Participate in local industry events and trade shows.
  • Create a project pipeline and maintain contact with firms to ensure the project goes from specification to final order stage

 

What do you need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the industry (preferably in the sale of surfaces)
  • Proven sales experience
  • An existing book of business in the A&D community is highly preferred.
  • Passionate and goal-driven. Able to work well with minimal supervision. Independent but reliable.
  • Superior verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Driven, outgoing, passionate, positive and confident.
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required.

 

 

Compensation package: $80,000- $120,000. PTO, healthcare insurance offered.
