Position Summary
The Sales & Business Development Manager shall be responsible for the company’s North American Sales and Marketing coordination for the business segments Direct and Solutions. You will be responsible for the operational daily sales activities and results within the area of North America. The Employee shall be the technical expert within designated segments, to support customers both remotely and onsite as well as coordinate with counterparts at the German HQ. This position will report to the Managing Director of the BITO Storage Solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Give intensive support of our projects from the customer inquiry to the award of contract as well as technical support of our partner companies.
- Build out BITO’s presence within the North American System Integrator segment.
- Collect market information, identify market potential and work out action plans according to company plans.
- Full responsibility for sales budget within the business field, including all relevant costs.
- Ensure the company’s marketing efforts are aligned with previously planned action items and corporate guidelines.
- Obtain all relevant information and date for the implementation of the most economically and technologically feasible solution.
- Responsible for Sales and Business development efforts within the Direct and Solution segment, based on RFQs from customers in coordination with the US office and German HQ.
- Participate in relevant trade shows and conferences domestically and internationally.
- Plan and report daily activities using Outlook, company CRM.
- Create project evaluations, risk and cost analyses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant field
- 5 years of demonstrated sales experience within a relevant industry
- Proven experience selling similar products/services to Automation System integrators
- Strong knowledge of the Automated Storage and Retrieval systems industry
- Ability to travel 50 – 60% domestically and internationally (valid passport required)
- German Language skills preferred, but not required
- Able to read Blueprints / Building Layouts
